A Life Shaped by Movement, Materials, and Meaning

Before I became a designer, I was a professional ballet dancer, trained in New York City and devoted to the discipline and rhythm of performance. Ballet taught me composition, balance, and how movement transforms space. When an injury ended that chapter, I sought a new form of expression through craft: metalsmithing, sculpture, and glassblowing. My hands learned the weight of materials, the patience of process, and the beauty in imperfection.

Two summers studying art restoration in Italy deepened my love for historic preservation and the quiet satisfaction of bringing old beauty back to life. That experience led me to work on intricate architectural and ornamental plaster for significant civic and residential projects, including the restoration of the White House residential quarters.

Eventually, I transitioned into full-time interior design, working alongside inspiring creative teams in Austin, from the playful, character-rich world of Bunkhouse Group to the refined artistry of Christina Simon Studio. These collaborations expanded my design language and taught me to mix eras, textures, and tones with confidence.

Design Philosophy

My work is rooted in the belief that homes should be both timeless and lived in, grounded in history yet effortless in daily life. I love historic architecture, but I design for how people actually live now—simplifying flow, softening transitions, and layering warmth through light, texture, and art.

Because I’ve worked closely with builders and trades, I understand the craft behind every finish and can translate creative vision into practical execution. My process is collaborative, transparent, and guided by the same sense of hospitality I learned from years in the food and beverage world, where every detail, every gesture, and every experience matters.
